How long does it take for cannabis seeds to germinate?
There are several germination techniques to choose from, so how long it takes depends on which germination technique you use. My seed(s) haven’t sprouted, what could be wrong?
The majority of seed failures are caused by the environment in which the cannabis seed is germinated. If the medium used is unsuitable, too wet, too dry or exposed to light, the cannabis seed will fail to sprout. Your cannabis seed might be healthy but require more time to sprout. It can take 3-7 days for cannabis seeds to germinate, and in extreme cases, 10 days.
My seed sprouted, but the seed shell did not fall off. What can I do?
The seed shell will shed as the plant grows, and there is no reason to be concerned. If the seed shell remains attached after a few days, you can gently remove it using a clean, dry pair of tweezers.
How (long) can I store my cannabis seeds?
Optimal conditions for storing cannabis seeds must be clean, dry and at a consistently cool temperature. Cannabis seeds should be kept in airtight water-resistant containers that prevent contact with moisture. If stored in optimal conditions, cannabis seeds keep for up to 10 years unfrozen and 20 years when frozen.
